On occasion, I will post some recipes, and other times I will post what I experience and encounter in my life. Recipes are vegan.
Recently moved to Los Angeles, CA, therefore posts are strongly associated with the Southland.
Also another bias is that I am a vegan and studying in a field closely related to environmental protection.
In my recipes, substitutions are often made:
garlic/onion/scallion = Chinese mahogany/toona OR white truffle oil
butter = coconut oil OR grape seed oil/avocado oil of 1/3 amount of butter called for in the recipe
egg = 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed
milk = plant-based milk OR water
honey = agave syrup of twice the amount called for in the recipe OR maple syrup
gelatin = agar agar powder
