I have never had ratatouille before (The Vegan Table). I am actually not sure about what it should have been like… Or how it should have looked like.
When I was trying to buy the white beans, there are several white beans choices available, the navy beans, cannellini beans, and great northern beans. For this recipe, I got the navy beans, which are kind of like white kidney beans. I am not sure which one I should have chosen for this. Again, no onion and garlic, just Chinese mahogany, no wine, and green bell peppers instead of red bell peppers.
Maybe it was because I didn’t know how it was supposed to be like, I thought the recipe was okay, just like a common vegetable stew, nutritious though. Did I even use the right white beans?
