Autumn recipes still… But this worked out great still in winter! I just started as a postdoc in Los Angeles, so I am not in Orange County anymore for the most part. I had a hard time finding time to cook something new from the cookbook, but I finally did!
Oh, yeah. You noticed. I used the cast iron pan for the recipe and did not turn the potatoes over. Mine turned out well! Crunchy on the top, which I like, and soft and creamy on the bottom but not watery! 3 small potatoes were used.
I did not use any garlic in this recipe. I also did not use any broth or peel the potatoes. I am a little short on things at the new apartment.
