Dining at Kobu

First impression is that the waiters were super nice. Decorations and overall look was very comfortable.

The problem only comes when you are vegetarian, or vegan, ordering from the seemingly large selections of “Vegetarian” menu. I ordered from the menu, got beef, returned it and made sure it was vegetarian, got clam the next time, made sure it was TRULY right the third time. They may be unfamiliar with the dish so didn’t know what to do and made it up. Or know a similar dish and by habit added beef or clam.

Conclusion, I don’t recommend vegans or vegetarians to go there unless you REALLY made sure they make the tofu soon soup right.

I still question the base of the soup… Is it vegetarian at all? Did they have a fishy base or animal bone base? It is still quite unclear.
